International Day of Yoga is celebrated on 21 June, and Brasília will celebrate the date this Sunday (19), starting at 7 a.m., with a public class on the lawn of Esplanada dos Ministerios (Almeida dos Estados), accompanied by instructors from the city. ), in the center of the federal capital. This program is promoted by the Embassy of India in collaboration with the Secretary of Tourism.

International Day of Yoga was created by the United Nations Assembly in 2014, when a resolution made by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Damodardas Modi, was approved. Yoga originated in India over 5,000 years ago and is a practice that involves wellness on the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual levels.

11:15 am – Bollywood Indian dance performance and workshop by Lara Anand and her group
