iQOO launches different models of iQOO 9 in India

This week iQOO unveiled three 9-series models for the global platform, but arrived in India first. There are some similarities in specifications with the model that was already launched in China in January. For example, the iQOO 9 Pro is a model similar to the Chinese one. However, the iQOO 9 is completely different, whereas the iQOO 9 SE has some similarities but has been given a new name.

iQOO 9 Pro

The 9 Pro sports a 6.78-inch LPTO QHD+ curved AMOLED display, 120Hz adaptive refresh and 300Hz touch sampling rate. The model’s chipset is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage.

The Model 9 Pro replaced the previous model’s in-display fingerprint sensor with the 3D Sonic Max ultrasonic sensor. According to iQOO, the unlock speed of this new sensor is just 0.2s. The phone also comes with vapor chamber liquid cooling system, dual stereo speakers, 5G support and X-axis linear vibration engine.

The specs of the iQOO 9 are slightly lower than the Pro model. The screen is 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The chip is Snapdragon 888+, memory is up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

As for the cameras, the 9 sports a 48MP Sony IMX598 main sensor with gimbal stabilization, a 13MP wide-angle camera and a 13MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.

The Model 9’s battery is a smaller 4,350mAh with support for 120W fast charging. The smartphone does not support wireless charging and does not have an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

One advantage of the 9 over the Pro model is the pressure-sensitive buttons on the screen, which optimizes gameplay for multiplayer shooters such as PUBG and Call of Duty Mobile.

The Model 9 also features a dedicated display chip, dual stereo speakers, a vapor chamber, dual X-axis and 5G linear vibration motors.

iQOO 9 SE

iQOO 9 SE is the cheapest model in this range. The phone flaunts a 6.62-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 888 chip, 8GB/12GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage. Rear camera configuration is 48 MP, 13 MP, 2 MP; The battery is 4,500mAh which supports 66W wired fast charging.
