Marcelo Mello of Brazil is preparing daily for the sequence of the tournament in Australia. Having arrived in the country by chartered flight, the tennis player from Minas Gerais has already trained in five hours, he can stay outside the hotel room during quarantine.

Along with Romanian Horia Tecau, Marcelo Mello will compete in the Melbourne ATP 250 from the 31st of this month. The tournament is set for the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the season, scheduled for the period from 8 to 21 February.

“It’s all here, and you can train. We have done two hours on the court and then one hour in the gym and one hour next to the other place. Then, meal time. Everything is very coordinated, everyone is well separated. And very clear: after every court, gym, everything is fruitless.
