According to reports, the government of the Temporary Institutions in Pristina has decided to ban the production of cryptocurrencies in the southern Serbian province, as it uses a large amount of electricity.
The Minister of Economy of the Provisional Institutions in Pristina, Artana Rizvanoli, said that along with the recommendations of the Technical Committee, they decided last week on urgent measures to ban so-called cryptocurrency mining.
“Based on the recommendations, I decided on immediate measures to ban the production of cryptocurrencies throughout Kosovo.
