Amy Callaghan, the MP for East Dunbartonshire, has been through neurosurgery just after suffering a brain haemorrhage.

The SNP MP collapsed at her residence past Wednesday.

A statement from her office stated the 28-yr-aged was in a stable ailment and was “now beginning the process of recovery”.

It included that Ms Callaghan’s collapse was “similar to a previously manageable medical condition”.

Ms Callaghan is stated to be in good spirits and able to connect properly with her spouse and children.

The SNP’s chief at Westminster, Ian Blackford, said anyone in the occasion wished the MP a entire and fast recover.

Ms Callaghan was elected to the Property of Commons at the 2019 typical election.

She unseated the then Liberal Democrat leader, Jo Swinson, with a narrow majority of 149 votes.
