booster dose of Vaccines Opposite COVID-19 Currently available functions against version omicron United States (USA) infectious diseases expert Anthony Fauci said on Wednesday (15) that there is no need for new coronavirus and specific reinforcement.

“Our vaccine booster works against the micron. At this point, there is no need for a strain-specific booster,” Fauci told reporters in a White House interview.

He cited data from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases as saying that the neutralizing activity of two doses of Moderna’s vaccine is “significantly low” against the micron, of which he is director.

“However, if you look two weeks after the third dose, you will see a substantial increase in the neutralizing position; well within the neutralization range of microns,” he said, commenting on the results of the study, which was a collaboration with Moderna. .

BioNTech and Pfizer said last week that three doses of their vaccine were able to neutralize the micron in laboratory testing, but two doses resulted in significantly reduced antibodies.

J&J has not yet released any data on the performance of its vaccine against the new strain of coronavirus.

According to a study published on Tuesday (14), all three COVID-19 vaccines authorized in the US appear to be significantly less protective against micron in laboratory tests, but most of the protection is restored with a booster dose.
