Two days after their 1-1 draw against Brazil, the United States team unveiled their Copa America squad list. The result helped dispel some of the bad image left by the loss to Colombia.

Hosting the competition for the second time in history (it hosted the 2015 edition), the North Americans have a famous name in the mix. It is midfielder Jonny, a former international who currently plays for Betis (Spain).

The 22-year-old is one of the names with the best performances in the 2023/2024 season. Playing 19 games, he performed at a sufficient level to attract the attention of other clubs within Spanish football. Such as, for example, Atlético de Madrid and Barcelona.
