The instant messaging application “WhatsApp” will stop working on some smartphones.
According to WABetaInfo, the application will stop working on older iPhones.
In the latest beta version of the iOS app, support for devices running iOS 9 and earlier has disappeared. And at the moment, there is no official confirmation from the in-charge of the application on the information published by the site.
Currently, the official list of “iPhone” operating systems supported by the messaging program includes iOS 9 or later. As of 1 January 2021, the messaging program has stopped working on many devices whose users have not yet updated the operating system to iOS 9 or Android 4.0.3.
