Champion, Cyborg, Bellary 259 – Meets Leslie Smith at 04/03/2021

Chelsea defeated West Ham (3–0) and came in fifth place; Burnley defeated Wolverhampton - 12/21/2020

Featherweight champion, Kris Cyborg will play against Leslie Smith in Bellator 259, which will be held on May 21 in Connecticut (USA). This will be the second meeting between the two. In the first match, which marked Brazil’s debut at the UFC, Curitiba needed more than a minute to “run over” their opponent by knockout on historic card 198 at the Arena di Baxada in Curitiba five years ago.

Cyborg would put the belt on the line for the second time in the company. Brazil won the title in January 2020, when it defeated champion Julia Budd. Then, he presented Arlene Blencove with a rear naked choke – the first defense. Since meeting Smith in 2016, Chris has recorded seven wins and one setback.

Leslie wants to establish himself as an elite athlete. The American won two fights in the UFC after losing Cyborg, but left the franchise. At Belter he lost his debut to Arlen Blencove, but recovered from his last appointment in September 2020, and defeated Panda Bell.
