Burnley, United Kingdom, 21 December 2020 (AFP) – Chelsea won again, in a tougher game than the result (3-0) against West Ham, concluding the 14th round of the Premier League this Monday.

With 25 points, the ‘Blues’ overtook Tottenham’s neighbors and finished fifth, in a compact squad following the leader with 31 points.

After two consecutive defeats, the players, led by Frank Lampard, needed to rejoice against a London rival who is not experiencing a great moment, but if he wins, he will be left on the table.

The ‘Hammers’ with far less talent on the pitch than Chelsea dominated the match moments with the opponent in a more elaborate and collective game.

However, no shots were directed towards the goal between the six opportunities created at Stamford Bridge, while Chelsea directed the opposing goal 7 of their 11 shots.

But goals from Ashley Barnes (35) and New Zealand’s Chris Wood (51) gave Burnley three points to accumulate four consecutive games without losing and now have a three point advantage over the reasoning zone.

The Volves coach, Nuno Espirito Santo, fielded Spaniard Adama Trare and Portuguese Fabio Silva, the second one came up short at the end of the match, taking a penalty on 88 minutes.
