Formiga arrives in Brazil to join Sao Paulo cast – 06/19/2021

This Saturday (19), the defensive midfielder arrived in Brazil to join the Formiga Sao Paulo squad. The player had his landing registered by SPFCTV and has already made his first announcement as a player at the club.

Back at the club where he was shown, the player revealed the feeling of re-wearing the So Paulo shirt.

– Back at my home, now is the time for both the national team and the club to enjoy the moments and continue working – said the athlete.

Formiga started his football career playing for So Paulo in 1993. Since then, he has played for other teams and played in countries such as Sweden, the United States and France.

The defensive midfielder is the player who has played the most cups in the world, holding the record for seven appearances. The athlete is the record holder among women and men.

With a vast career in football, Formiga comes to strengthen the tricolor in contention for the Brazilian Championship. The team is currently in seventh place with 23 points won from 13 rounds.

Classified for the next stage, So Paulo still has two matches to go in the first leg of the competition. The team returns to the field at 20 on the following Sunday (20) to face Real-DF.
