Oklahoma State v West Virginia: Live Updates, Scores, Results, Highlights for Saturday's NCAAF Game

Game again

After a stunning victory in their match two weeks ago, the West Virginia Mountaineers were relegated on Saturday. They came out on top 27-13 against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. If West Virginia were hoping for revenge for a 20-13 loss against Oklahoma State when the teams met last November, they were disappointed.

The Cowboys can attribute much of their success to RBLD Bra Brown, who ran for 11 runs and a TD on 11 carriers. That touchdown – a 66-yard rush in the second quarter – was a highlight of the competition. Oklahoma State got some extra help from DE Tyrone Irby, returning the 56-yard drop in the second quarter for one of the most memorable moments of the game.

The Oklahoma State defense was also a presence, as it was obtained before the West Virginia offensive line to dismiss QB Jarrett Dowez five times. Leading the way was CLB Calvin Bundes and his two sacks. They were the first sacks for the Bundes through Week 4.

WR Winston Wright Jr. did not help the Mountaineers do all this against the East Kentucky Colonel two weeks ago, but that cannot be said for the game. West Virginia lost despite a quality game from Wright Jr., who caught a TD and four passes for 103 yards. One of the most exciting moments was Wright Jr.’s 70-yard TD reception in the second quarter.

The deficit took West Virginia back 1-1. The win makes it two in a row for the Ka Bo Boys to take their record to 2-0.

The Mountaineers will score against the Baylor Bears at ET next Saturday afternoon at Mountaineer Field at the Milan Pushkar Stadium. Oklahoma State is packing for its first away game this season and is on the road. They play the next Saturday against the Kansas Jayhawks at the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium at 3:30 p.m. Unlike Oklahoma State, Kansas will flare up after a loss.
