The British Embassy in Brazil offers scholarships in the United Kingdom

The British Embassy in Brazil has opened registration for the programme Chevening ScholarshipsWhich offers all-expenses-paid scholarships on postgraduate courses in the UK.

Scholarships are valid for a master’s degree at universities in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland or Wales. Classes will begin between September and October 2025.

The program covers air travel expenses (round trip), as well as monthly fees and fees charged by the educational institution chosen by the student.

The selected ones also get monthly financial assistance for personal expenses. The last date for registration ends on November 5.

Those who register must go through two phases, which include filling out an online form with the courses of interest and the required documentation, in addition to an interview in English, which can be done at the Embassy, ​​Consulates or other locations in all regions of Brazil.

Who can apply for scholarships in UK

Candidates from any field of activity are the focus of the program. According to the program’s website, “there is no ideal profile for Chevening scholars”, but those approved have “ambition, leadership profile and good academic performance”. Other characteristics expected of the scholarship holder are:

  • Have at least two years of professional experience (volunteer work, paid or unpaid internships also apply);
  • be willing to return to your home country for at least two years after completing your studies to use the knowledge acquired in the United Kingdom;
  • Have a professional history of excellence and accomplishments, and have the potential to become a great leader in their field;
  • Demonstrate that you have the personal qualities necessary to benefit from the scholarship and use it in your career;
  • want to connect with other Chevening Scholars while studying in the UK and after returning to their home country;
  • Have a clear idea of ​​how the course you are going to take can benefit your native country.
