The livestreaming service is updating its ban on Twitch Slur to include a collection of new slags related to generally inappropriate behavior.
In the update of its troubles PolicyThe company said it would ban the use of words such as “simple”, “insane” and “virgin”, especially when they were used to negatively describe another person’s sexual practices.
“These terms do not apply to our own use, but we will take action if they are used in a harassing manner over and over again,” it said.

Twitch said it determines if something was dirty if commonly used language deteriorated or degraded based on a security feature.

This was part of an overall update to the company’s Terms of Use, which included three components: harassment, hate speech and sexual harassment.
The new policy will take effect on January 22 next year, so content created on or after that date will be subject to the new guidelines.
Twitch explained that the later rollout of the policy was to avoid penalties, and to give users time to learn about changes aimed at better protecting the lesser community.
Although the company does not disclose its enforcement features, penalties may include a one to 30 day warning and a temporary suspension or permanent ban for very serious cases.
