The first 18 holes of the 2020 US Open will allow them to play as easily as Winged Feet for the rest of the week. Friday’s Round 2 is expected to include gassed winds, cold temperatures and strong greens as we look at the opening day. Hopefully you enjoyed all of those scores on the first 18 holes because you probably aren’t looking any further than the rest of the way.
What you’re going to see on Friday are some of the best golfers in the world who wear it to keep their head above level. Matthew Wolf and Thomas Peters will leave soon after the strong first round match, in which they both scored 4 shots. Leaders Justin Thomas (-5) will leave late, as will Patrick Reed (-4) and Rory McIlroy (-3). We’ll see them fighting each other and perhaps more accurately – a golf course that’s going to be a huge battle in the next three days. We’ll also see Tiger Woods (+3), Dustin Johnson (+3) and Jordan Spieth (+3) fight for the first of six majors in the season on Friday.
