The variation of the new coronovirus has prompted the UK government to tighten restrictions that will be adopted as of Sunday (20). Scientists say the mutation of the virus is more contagious, but there is no evidence that it worsens the disease or that it reduces protection from vaccines.
The British Prime Minister warned that “when the virus changes the way of attack it is time to change the defense”. Boris Johnson explained that mutations of the new coronovirus would be up to 70% more infectious.
