A GMC Sierra pickup truck was seen completely submerged in a lake in the US state of Illinois by a television crew at the site for a live link. It all happened on Lake Springfield, which was used as the backdrop for an ABC News Channel 20 reporter’s speech.
From the beginning of the video it can be seen that the white GMC Sierra is slowly sinking behind him. After a few seconds of talking to the camera, the reporter is alerted by someone and turns to see what happened.
According to the information, the owner of the truck had used it to keep the fishing boat on the lake. You can see the reaction of the disappointed man when he disappeared into the water near the truck in the video.
Sangman County Rescue Squadron (SCRS) said: “Last night, SCRS responded to a call at Springfield Lake to assist in the recovery of a submerged vehicle. No injuries were reported from the incident.”
The GMC Sierra HD pickup truck is currently priced at US$35,000 in the US, roughly $180,000 at current prices.
