The crusaders were soldiers who participated in military missions launched by Christian countries. The conflicts occurred throughout the 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries. The knights have influenced many aspects of our contemporary environment. Knightfall cannot be skipped when considering Crusades-inspired television programs. This historical fiction drama was written by Don Handfield and Richard Rayfield. On 6 December 2017, the film’s premiere took place. Following the success of the first season on 13 August 2018, the History Channel announced that the second season would premiere on 25 March 2019. It is inspired by the Crusades and portrays the victory and failure of the Templar Knights. The film presented the knights’ existence in the past with all of their drama, battles, successes, and failures.

Crusades

The Crusades is a documentary series produced by Terry Jones in 1995 that focuses on the history of the Crusades. It examined the Crusades with grim humour. Actors use masks and costumes to depict historical figures in their countries’ artistic traditions. The actors depict figures in the style of medieval miniatures, with some, such as Emperor Alexios I, appearing as Byzantine mosaics. At times, the production is played for laughs. There was one season released with 13 episodes.

Labyrinth

This mini-series featured something unique, set in two different timelines simultaneously. One was in modern France in 2012, and the other was again in France, but now in 1209. The story revolves around searching for the Holy Grail, the Cathars, and the Crusaders.

Robin Hood

Robin is a reformed crusader in this updated TV version of the original story. Things haven’t always been like this. The Crusades do not make an appearance in any of the earlier Robin Hood ballads or plays. Those tales often took place in the later Middle Ages, after Richard’s Third Crusade, and had a regional emphasis. Unfortunately, the Crusades are a recurring plot point in many contemporary Robin Hood tales. On 7 October 2006, the first episode of the series aired. Two more seasons followed. There are a total of 39 episodes in the series, and each one lasts around 45 minutes.
