Torreira completed his season-long loan in the Spanish capital on the last day of the deadline before contacting the Uruguayan team immediately for their fixtures against Chile and Ecuador.

Luis Suarez, who has scored two goals in three appearances since joining Atletico from Barcelona, will also be in action with Uruguay on his return from international duty.
“It would be weird to play against Luis because he has been my ally,” the Spanish international said.
“He has started the season really well and proved that he is a good player who scores a lot of goals, but on Saturday I hope he will not score and we will win the match.”
Suarez, meanwhile, is focusing on Arsenal after his short spell in north London during the second half of the 2018/19 campaign.
A rural problem limited the attacking midfielder to just six performances for the Gunners arriving from Barcelona in January 2019 and it was a belief that prevented him from showing his full potential in the Premier League.
But he still has some fond memories of his time with Arsenal and believes that joining the midfielder Thomas Party’s deadline deadline could be exactly what his former club needs to take him to the next level.
“Arsenal lacked a player of that profile,” said Suarez. “Thomas will feel comfortable in England due to his physical condition.”
With the injury he is now back with Arsenal, Suarez is returning to the lost time at Celta Vigo – the club that started its career 10 years ago as a teenager before moving to Manchester City 10 years ago.

After a period of his career that saw him struggle for playing time, Suarez admits he is feeling settled once again.
“When I was young and at Celta I always thought I would like to play with Celta in the top division,” he said. “It was always on my mind.
“I feel I have made a good start to the season without any physical problems, which is very important to me after my injuries last year.
“I didn’t have a pre-season because I only trained for a week, so the first four matches can be considered a pre-season. I think after five or six matches, I will be a better player for Celta.
“But I’m feeling better off the pitch and I want to improve on last season’s performance.”
