A gentleman has died soon after getting attacked by a shark off the east coastline of Australia, officials say.

The 36-calendar year-aged was bitten on the leg when spearfishing in waters close to Queensland’s Fraser Island, north of Brisbane, police claimed on Saturday.

A medical doctor and nurse supplied first help therapy on shore, but the male was afterwards pronounced dead at the scene when paramedics arrived.

It is the fourth lethal shark assault in Australian waters so far this 12 months.
