According to a report by KPMG Consultancy, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, around 80% of the companies in the world have accelerated their digital transformation processes.
This context has created a greater demand for technology professionals both in the country and around the world, says Albert Diaz, Head of Information Technology at Certus.
“In just a few months, we have experienced a rapid digital transformation. Companies across sectors are seeking to engage trained technical professionals to implement, improve and manage their digital systems and processes. In fact, Peru is among the five Latin American countries with the highest demand for these profiles.Diaz says.
According to Certus, information technology professionals can have salaries as high as S/7,000, depending on the specialty as well.
A recent report by the World Economic Forum (WEF) estimates that around 150 million new technology jobs will be created in the world in the next 5 years.
Similarly, interest in these professional careers is increasing proportionately. Careers such as systems administration for digital transformation, for example, are increasingly in demand by companies and present a huge opportunity for future professionals.
Diaz explains that professionals in this field identify business opportunities through data analysis and propose solutions that apply agile methodology, ‘Business Intelligence Strategies’.‘, process automation, the use of ‘cloud computing’ technologies, ‘big data artificial intelligence, among others. Professionals who have a Data Analytics certification or have any Business Intelligence related certified trainings, have higher chances of their selection in a job interview.
“It is very important that professionals be technically well prepared and also develop personal skills that allow them to adapt quickly to the new demands of the environment”, he points out.
