In Apple (iOS) the joke is funny – the scandal of Facebook and the company. a Previous article I briefly explained the situation and why the two giants came into conflict.

Most of Facebook’s business is based on targeting, and can only be implemented when the company can track users’ activity. Starting with iOS 14.5, Apple device users can choose whether to agree to be tracked.

Although Facebook began sending slightly desperate messages to users updating to iOS 14.5, they responded accordingly: Do not agree to chase. According to Fleury Analytics globally, only 12% of users have accepted the tracking functions of Facebook and the company, while only 4% of users in the United States have agreed to permanent monitoring.

Fleury Analytics verified a sample of 5.3 million global users and 2.5 million US users.

The update to iOS 14.5 is available from 26 April, so the number of people switching to the new version is still quite low. However, these figures may be worrisome for Facebook and the company if current trends continue.
