Judoka de Atibia wins bronze in Pan-American Sub 21

The 2021 season will certainly mark the career of Luana Oliveira. The young judoka won a bronze medal at the U21 Pan American Games held in Cali, Colombia. In the team category, the athlete won the gold medal and with this result, Brazil closed the medal table in first place.

Luana, who is a member of the So Joo Tunis Club/Apaja/Sports and Leisure Department in Bahia, has stood out on the national and international scene in the +78kg category. The result came after three bouts: in the first, she lost to Dominican Moira Morillo, in the second she defeated Rosita Leyton of Peru, and in the third she defeated Sandy Ango of Ecuador by Ippone (maximum score in the way). In addition to this expressive result in person, Luana also brought her own baggage and course, a gold medal for the teams. Brazil won the teams from the Dominican Republic and Cuba and took first place in the Grand Final, defeating the United States team.
