Women's volleyball team begins League of Nations final round against Korea - Dario do Sudoeste
The Brazilian women’s volleyball team will return to the court this Friday to start the fifth and final round of the qualifying stage of the League of Nations. The national team will play against South Korea at 10am (GMT) in Rimini, Italy.

Brazil are looking for a phenomenal title. In the previous edition, in 2019, the team led by coach Jose Roberto Guimaraes got the silver medal after being trailed by the United States in a decision of 3 sets to 2.

In the current tournament, the Brazilian team appears second in the overall standings with 31 points (10 wins and two losses). The United States is ahead with 36, and Japan is third with 25. The first four places will advance to the semi-finals.

Unlike for Lorraine, the fifth stage will be decisive in the women’s team’s quest for classification for the final stages of the League of Nations.

“We arrived at the defining moment of the League of Nations and we’re going to look for classification. There are three tough games against teams from different schools. We train well these days and we’re ready. First, we’re South Korea. which is a coach-led team with experience in Brazilian volleyball, Lavarini, and who plays with great speed”, said Lorraine.

In the final round, the women’s team took three consecutive victories against Poland, Germany and Thailand respectively.
