No need to block chat
Archived chats reach the bottom of a user’s chat list. But, when a new message arrives, they again appear at the top. Now WhatsApp is coming with a new feature. This lets you get rid of unwanted contact chats. The special thing is that you do not need to block this contact.

Rolling out in beta version
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has now started rolling out the feature of hiding erratic chats in the chat list. The special thing about this feature of the company is that now archive chat can be hidden in the chat list. The new facility is called the New Archive. It is being rolled out with WhatsApp Beta version 2.21.11.1 for Android.

Stable version may be released soon
If you are a WhatsApp beta tester. So you can access these settings by tapping on the Keep Chats Archived given in the Chats option. After turning this option on, unwanted chat will be archived or muted. You will also not see a notification when a new message arrives. The company is beta testing this feature. It is also possible that its stable version can also be rolled out soon.
